ECCE 2015 – European Conference on Cognitive Ergonomics
Understanding Design through Cognition
1 – 3 July 2015; Warsaw, Poland
(co-located with MIDI 2015)
ECCE 2015 is the 33rd annual conference of the European Association of Cognitive Ergonomics. It is one of the premier conferences in the area of cognitive ergonomics, human technology interaction and cognitive engineering. It brings together researchers and practitioners to exchange new ideas and practical experiences in all areas of cognitive ergonomics.
The main theme of ECCE 2015 is Understanding Design through Cognition. It links ECCE 2015 to the co-located third International Conference on Multimedia, Interaction, Design and Innovation (MIDI 2015). Researchers and practitioners are invited to consider how the broader view of cognition that has developed in recent years can contribute to a better understanding of design processes.
ECCE 2015 seeks to encourage dialogue and discussion among participants about the main theme as well as general topics of this conference series. Submissions in the form of long papers, short papers, posters & demonstration papers are possible. We are planning to invite the authors of selected papers to contribute to a special issue of a relevant Journal.
The conference will host a panel discussion about the future of cognitive ergonomics organised by Flore Barcellini and Françoise Détienne. The conference will take place from 1st – 3rd July 2015, at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology (PJATK) in Warsaw, the vibrant capital of Poland.
